Astronomic Arts
by Einar Charles Larsen
About the Artist
It was after a rainy summer night in the early 1960s, when 4 years old Einar Charles strolled in the woods and spotted an illustrated science book among shrubs and grass. It was soaked with mud and water. Just a few pages about the era of the dinosaurs, and the last part about astronomy were readable. He bent down on his knees, blowing through the wet pages, and became very fascinated by the illustration of the sun. He could already read a little and he absorbed every word. When he got home carrying the wet dripping book, he told his mother about solar prominence, corona, and the umbra and penumbra to the sunspots. Only him understood that language.Einar Charles felt lucky boy to be the boy who found that book. Lucky to get an interest of a lifetime that isn't offered to young people much.He got even more fascinated of space after seeing good professional astroarts in science magazines. He aspired to create images, but he doubted the possibilities of marketing such art. So he used his artistic talents on graphic services for advertisement. Now after many years, Einar Charles feel that astronomic art is truly his passion in terms of art, where he felt at home.Besides dreaming of a reality that only a few want to experience, creating astronomic art is a way for Einar Charles to inspire others to learn more about the landscape beyond our cosmic home, the Earth. The knowledge of reality beyond the Earth’s atmosphere is terrifyingly low, but by creating realistic space arts, every astronomic artist makes an important aid for humanity.
